Overlap does not store calendars you leave turned off, event notes, attendees, or reminders. It never changes your phone’s calendars.
Overlap does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking, and does not sell your information.
- People you connect with see your name and color.
- People you share a calendar with see that calendar at the level you choose for them:
- Busy only: the times you’re busy, with no titles or places. Events you’ve marked as “free” are not shown.
- Details: titles, places, and times.
- People you invite to an activity see its title, time and place, and the names of other guests they’re connected with.
- Nobody else. Sharing is per person and per calendar, and starts at nothing. You can change or stop sharing at any time; it takes effect immediately.
- Your email address and invite code are never shown to other people.
Services Overlap uses
- Supabase stores Overlap’s data and handles sign-in. Data is stored in the European Union (Stockholm, Sweden).
- Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In, if you use them, confirm who you are and share your name and email address with Overlap.
- Expo push notification service, with Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging, delivers notifications to your phone. They receive your push token and the notification text (for example, “Maya wants to connect”).
How long it’s kept
- Events are refreshed from your phone and kept for the 7-day-back to 60-day-ahead window; older events are deleted at the next sync.
- Turning a calendar off deletes it and its events from Overlap’s servers.
- Removing a connection stops all sharing between you and that person.
- Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account) permanently deletes your profile, calendars, events, activities, connections, shares, and push tokens. If you signed in with Apple, Overlap’s access to your Apple ID is revoked too.
Your choices
- Choose which calendars to upload, and what each person can see.
- Turn notifications on or off in Overlap, or in your phone’s settings.
- Delete your account at any time in the app.
- To ask about your data or request a copy, email naser.kakadost@hotmail.com.
Children
Overlap is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age in your country.
