Common questions

Prayer alerts arrive late on Android. Open Prayer → Adhan & Reminders and tap Allow on the “Alarms & reminders” banner, or go to Settings → Apps → Sakina → Alarms & reminders. Some phones also need battery optimisation turned off for Sakina.

My prayer times differ from my mosque. Choose the calculation method your mosque uses in Prayer → Calculation method, and adjust any prayer by a few minutes.

No adhan sound. Make sure the prayer is set to Adhan (the speaker icon), and that the phone is not on silent. Use Test adhan to check.

Listening offline. Open a surah and tap the download button. Downloaded surahs play without internet.

The Qibla compass is off. Move your phone in a figure-of-eight to calibrate it, and keep it away from metal and magnets.
